Looped In: Demand JOBS for July
The demand gen job market is having a moment right now. After months of cautious hiring, I'm seeing companies finally opening up senior-level positions with competitive comp packages—especially for roles that blend traditional demand gen with modern signal-based marketing and AI integration.
What's particularly interesting is the trend toward "growth" titles over pure "demand gen" ones. Companies are looking for marketers who can think beyond just lead gen and actually drive revenue impact across the full customer lifecycle. The salaries reflect this shift too—I'm seeing ranges that would have been VP-level compensation just two years ago now being offered for director roles, especially at well-funded companies.
The biggest challenge I'm hearing from hiring managers? Finding candidates who understand both the strategic side (ICP definition, signal orchestration, account-based approaches) and can execute tactically (campaign building, automation setup, performance optimization). If you're one of those rare unicorns who can do both, this is feeling like your market.

And this role reports into Kyle Lacy’s org - no doubts it would be a career defining stop for anyone who lands it.

You'll own demand generation strategy and execution reporting to the VP of Revenue Marketing, staying hands-on with campaign execution and optimization. Key focus areas include designing the demand gen engine (attribution, lead scoring, handoff processes), leading quarterly demand planning, managing seven-figure budgets across paid channels, and driving website optimization. This role manages a team covering campaigns, ABM, field events, and paid media while partnering with sales on outbound sequence creation. Key responsibilities include end-to-end demand gen programs, multi-channel campaign development, MQL scoring optimization, ABM strategy (6Sense experience preferred), and regular performance reporting. You'll collaborate closely with sales, product marketing, customer marketing, and marketing ops. Requires 8+ years B2B/SaaS demand gen experience with tactical expertise in forecasting, paid media, ABM, and high-volume content campaigns.

FloQast - Senior Demand Generation Specialist LA-based accounting automation platform with a $1.6B valuation and recently raised $100M in Series E. They're trusted by 3,000+ accounting teams including Twilio, Zoom, and Snowflake. What I love about FloQast is that it was built by CPAs for CPAs—they deeply understand their customer pain points.
You'll be executing lifecycle marketing campaigns via email, webinars, and third-party channels to enhance the buyer's journey. They want someone who can optimize the buyer journey and drive revenue through sophisticated campaign orchestration. This is a great opportunity to join a profitable, fast-growing company that's consistently rated #1 in their category.
One Practical Tip for Job Seekers
Stop leading with your tactical skills and start with business impact. I'm seeing too many demand gen resumes that read like a laundry list of tools and channels ("proficient in HubSpot, Marketo, Google Ads, LinkedIn").
Instead, lead with the revenue impact you've driven. "Built signal-based demand engine that increased pipeline velocity by 35% and reduced CAC by 22%" is infinitely more compelling than "managed multi-channel campaigns across email and paid social."
The companies hiring right now want operators who think like business owners, not just campaign managers. Show them you understand the connection between your tactics and their bottom line.
And go subscribe to Hired. Evan is doing the real work to focus solely on writing about what it takes to get hired, or just get out of a rut you might be stuck in.
That's a wrap for this week's job roundup. If you're hiring for a demand gen or growth role and want to get in front of this audience, hit reply and let me know.
See ya next week,
